NALBANDIAN: "PROCESS MAY BE SUSPENDED"

Internal consultations process goes on both in Turkey and Armenia related to the process of normalization of relations. Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian renewed his statements about necessity of opening of borders without preconditions. “If a backstep is made about opening of borders without preconditions, process of normalization may be suspended,” said he.

Edward Nalbandian made the statement during his meeting with ambassadors. He stressed the necessity of opening of state borders between Turkey and Armenia without preconditions. He underlined that opening of borders is one of the most important branches of normalization process.

Armenian Foreign Minister also mentionedtheresolution ofNagorno-Karabakh problem, which he was implying by underlining “preconditions.” He stated that the agreement on the status of Nagorno-Karabakh will play key role in the resolution of the conflict.
