Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said that the process of normalization of relations between Turkey and Armenia will continue within its nature even if Armenian President Serzh Sarksyan does not come to Turkey to watch the soccer game between Turkish and Armenian national teams on October 14 in Bursa.

Initialized protocols between two country will be signed by the Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu and Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian on October 10 in Zurich, Switzerland.

The day of the match between Turkish and Armenian national teams comes closer although the question mark about whether Armenian President will come to Turkey or not, remains.

Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu expressed the attitude of Ankara about this issue. “The process of normalization will be continued within its nature even if Mr. Sarksyan come or not,” said he.

Holding a press conference, Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu informed media on his diplomacy traffic in New York and on the agenda of Turkish foreign policy for the next period.

Davutoglu said, “We consider possible visit of Armenian President Sarksyan as important. But the process of normalization will be continued within its nature even if Mr. Sarksyan come or not.”

Reminding that President Abdullah Gul went to Yerevan without any preconditions, Davutoglu said that consigning the protocols to the Parliament and ratification of protocols are two different processes.

“An expectation about an immediate ratification of the protocols is not the point in question,” said he.
