FRANCE BACKS TURKISH-ARMENIAN DIALOGUE

French Minister of State for European Affairs Pierre Lellouche stated that France welcomes the process of normalization of the relations between Turkey and Aremnia.

After adressing to Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly (PACE) French Minister held a press conference and replied the questions of journalists. Responding to a question about normalization of relations between Turkey and Armenia, French Minister stated that France backs the efforts towards normalizing the bilateral relations between Turkey and Armenia.

French Minister stated that all parties of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict should not spare any efforts for lasting peace of the dispute.

Stating that he met with Head of Turkish delegation, Justice and Development Party deputy Mevlut Cavusoglu during the PACE summit, French Minister Pierre Lellouche said that they will be waiting for the visit of Turkish President Abdullah Gul to Paris.

President Gul will attend opening ceremony of an exhibition in Paris with French President Nicholas Sarkozy within the frames of “Turkish season” in France.
