Giving an interview to “The Armenian Reporter,” Armenian President Serzh Sarksyan said that the process of international recognition of so called Armenian genocide cannot be removed from the agenda of Armenia.
Sarksyan said that supporting international recognition of so called Armenian genocide is part of Armenia’s National Security Strategy. “How can any Armenian renounce his or her past, or the desire to see the victory of justice? The recognition of the ’Genocide’ is not exclusively our issue, as Armenians. It is an issue for all humanity,” said he.
Heclaimed that Turkish people and Turkey will follow other countries about recognizing so called Armenian genocide as the issue of so called Armenian genocide was never discussed as broadly in Turkey as it is discussed today.
