“Resolution of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan will create fertile ground for the full normalization of relations in the South Caucasus region,” Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said at joint news conference with EU Commissioner for Enlargement Olli Rehn, CNN Turk reported.
Davutoglu met with European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso and EU Commissioner for Enlargement Olli Rehn on Oct. 2.
According to the source, he discussed with European officials the process of solving the Kurdish issue, normalization of relations with Armenia, the negotiations with Cyprus, peace in the Balkans, as well as cooperation in the energy sector and reforms in the judicial system of Turkey.
The meeting between Olli Rehn and Ahmet Davutoglu was followed by a joint news conference.
