ASIMED ANNOUNCED THE RESULTS OF "ARMENIA OPENING" POLL

Organization for Struggling Against Groundless Armenian Allegations (ASIMED) carried out a poll about establishment of economical and diplomatic relations with Armenia. ASIMED asked the issue to 5,702 people in six different cities. 85.5 percent of the participants said ’yes’ to establishment of diplomatic relaitons with Armenia if Armenia stops lobbying activities for international recognition of so called Armenian genocide and returns occupied lands back to Azerbaijan. On the other hand, 13.5 of participants said that Turkey should not establish ties with Armenia in any condition.

ASIMED carried out the poll in Erzurum, Samsun, Ankara, Adana, Bursa and Edirne. The results of the poll that includes the opinion of 5,702 peopleare sent to high level officials including Armenian President Serzh Sarksyan.

Director of ASIMED, Assistant Professor Doctor Savas Egilmez stated that Turkish people is towards establishing relations with Armenia despite the massacres that Armenian gangs committed in Anatolia. He called for attention to the forgiving virtue of Turkish people and stated that Turkish people is towards a fair agreement between Turkey and Armenia.
