Azerbaijani and Armenian Presidents will discuss Nagorno-Karabakh problem in their meetings in Chisinau. If they can reach on agreement the borders between Turkey and Armenia will be opened.

As it is stated that the borders between Turkey and Armenia cannot be opened unless Nagorno-Karabakh problem is resolved, the critical threshold for ratification of the protocols in Turkish parliament is the summit in the capital of Moldova. Presidents of Commonwealth of Independent States will hold a summit on October 7—8. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian President Serzh Sarksyan are expected to meet during this meeting. Presidents of two countries are expected to discuss resolution of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Chisinau meeting of Aliyev and Sarksyan is important because it will be held just before Turkish and Armenian Foreign Ministers sign the protocols towards establishment of diplomatic relations and developing bilateral ties. A possible agreement between sides is considered as the key that will open the borders between Turkey and Armenia.

Azerbaijani and Armenian leaders will discuss the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict in detail which is the basic dispute between two countries. Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Minsk Group will present a report to the presidents of two countries which contains analysisabout thewidth and route of Lachin corridor that will connect Armenia to Nagorno-Karabakh. Agreement on the dispute about Lachin corridor is very important for the solution of the conflict as it has strategical importance for Armenia. Because Armenia will use Lachin corridor while withdrawing occupier troops from Nagorno-Karabakh and seven surrounding regions. On the other hand Azerbaijan is not leaning towards establishing a corridor that will be under the control of Armenia.

Following Chisinau summit in Moldova, Turkish and Armenian Foreign Ministers will sign the protocols in Zurich that will start diplomatic relations between two countries. And four days later Turkish and Armenian national teams will play in Bursa.
