"WE DO NOT MAKE STEPS AGAINST INTERESTS OF AZERBAIJAN"

Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu renewed his statements about the importance of Azerbaijan in the foreign policy of Turkey towards Caucasus. Davutoglu said that Turkey will not make steps that will harm the interests of Azerbaijan.

Holding an official visit to Holland, Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu held a joint press conference with his Dutch counterpart Maxime Verhagen. Davutoglu said that they discussed the issues related to Cyprus and Turkey’s EU membership.

Mentioning Turkey’s foreign policy of establishing good relations with all of its neighbours, Foreign Minister Davutoglu said that Nederland supports the process of normalization of relations between Turkey and Armenia. Davutoglu said that Turkey will not be in any study that will damage the rights of Azerbaijan in the process of normalization of relations between Turkey and Armenia. To a question that asks whether the protocols that are initialized by Turkey and Armenia towards normalization of relations will be signed before the soccer game between Turkish and Armenian national teams, Davutoglu said, “Wait and see.”
