
Showing a strong reaction to the protocols that are signed by Turkish and Armenian Foreign Ministers on Saturday, Armenian diaspora threated Armenia of cutting the financial aid.
According to the report of Yerevan based Arminfo news agency, Chairman of the Board of Union of Armenian Associations in Sweden, Vahagn Avedian stated that protocols that Armenian administration signed with Turkey ruin the relations between Armenian diaspora and Armenia. He said that the first step of the diaspora Armenians will be the cessation of financing to Armenia.
Chairman of one of the major Armenian diaspora organizations in United States, Armenian National Congress of America (ANCA) Ken Hachikian stressed that the protocols that are signed by Turkey and Armenia are single-sided. He said, “Although it is disappointing, signing of the protocols is Turkey’s success.” Stating that ANCA and all Armenians in United States will continue their struggle for the justice, Hachikian said that they will not let Turkey to undermine Armenian allegations on 1915 events through protocols.
Jerusalem Representative of ’Hay Dat’ foundation, Georgette Avagian said that Armenian diaspora will not keep silent against these developments. He said, “From now on October 10 and April 24 are mourning days for us. Because we lost our lands today, and the cause of ’genocide recognition’ turned to dust.”

Armenian diaspora in Lebanon held a protest demonstration in front of Turkish embassy in Beirut. Protesting the protocols that are signed by Turkish and Armenian foreign ministers in Zurich, Armenians shouted as “Ararat belongs to Armenia,” “The day of justice will come soon.”
