Armenian Journalist Suran Baghdasarian stated that Armenian people wants opening of borders too.

In Turkey for watching the soccer game between Turkish and Armenian national teams, Armenian journalist Baghdasarian stated that he is in Turkey for the first time and he is contented of Turkish hospitality.

Pointing that Turkey-Armenia game is not only about football, Armenian journalist said, “Politicsare also in the discussion. With the visit of President Abdullah Gul to Yerevan, the issue gained a diplomatic dimension.”

Replying a question about the opinion of Armenian people on Turkey-Armenia protocols, Armenian journalist said, “We want to seperate football from politics but i am hopeful this time that football helps normalization of relations. We also want opening of borders. Both countries should make steps towards solution. Neighbouring countries should have good relations. Armenian President thinks like that too. And that is the right thing. We cannot continue hostility forever. Because of that, our people approach these developments positively. It could be said that our media finds the developments favourable too. Of cource there are people who oppose. But most of the people support the process.”
