
Politicians and Scientists from Ankara, Moscow and Yerevan discussed the Turkey-Armenia protocols in a TV program in Moscow.
Director of Department of Turkish Studies at Institute of Oriental Studies, Armenian National Academy of Sciences, Ruben Safrastyan stated that Armenia splits on protocols but coalition parties in Armenian Parliament support ’opening’ policies of President Serzh Sarksyan.

Stating that he discussed the issue with several deputies in Turkish Grand National Assembly, Turkish political scientist Sinan Ogan stated that process of normalization of relations between Turkey and Armenia is related to Nagorno-Karabakh problem. Ogan said, “There a question emerges. The issue of Nagorno-Karabakh. Frankly speaking, although Karabakh conflict is not included in protocols, we all know that ratification of protocols in Turkish parliament is not possible unless Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is resolved.”
Another Turkish politicial scientist, Professor Huseyin Bagci stated that relations between Turkey and Armenia cannot be indexed to Nagorno-Karabakh problem. Bagci stressed that Turkish parliament will ratify the protocols. He said, “Because the nature of the time requires that. You cannot change the rules in the middle of the game.”
