ARMENIANS ARE AGAINST RAPPROCHEMENT WITH TURKEY

A survey that is held in Armenia showed that more than half of Armenian population is against normalization of relations between Turkey and Armenia.

According to the poll that is held by Armenian Sociology Foundation, 52 percent of Armenian population is against Turkey-Armenia normalization. 39 percent of Armenians support process of normalization between Turkey and Armenia while 9 percent of participants did not deliver an opinion.

On the other hand, 48 percent of participants stated that they are towards opening of borders between two countries while 41 percent of participants demanded for current status quo to be conserved.

It is reported that 1000 people participated to the survey that is held between September 21 and 25. It is noted that the survey was held before Turkey-Armenia protocols were signed by the Foreign Ministers of Turkey and Armenia in Zurich, Switzerland.
