NOBODY CAN DARE TO CLAIM THE LANDS OF TURKEY

Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu informed parliamentarians on the deal between Turkey and Armenia in Parliamentary General Assembly, as Turkey-Armenia protocols are brought to the agenda of Turkish Grand National Assembly. Justice and Development Party and Democratic Society Party backed Turkey-Armenia protocols while Nationalist Movement Party and Republican People’s Party harshly criticized the pact between Turkey and Armenia.

Protocols that aim to normalize the relations between Turkey and Armenia is on the agenda of Parliamentary General Assembly. Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu informed representatives on the protocols that are signed by Turkey and Armenia. Underscoring that protocols include recognition of Turkey’s borders by Armenia within the frames of international agreements, Davutoglu said, “Armenia or any other country cannot dare to claim the lands of Turkey. That is strictly recorded in protocols.” Responding to the questions of parliamentarians, Davutoglu said that Turkish administrations always made decisions in behalf of Turkish people and that they never took orders from any authority.

On the other hand, Republican People’s Party parliamentarian from Istanbul, Sukru Elekdag claimed that protocols are disadvantageous for Turkey while Democratic Society Party Group Deputy Chairman Salih Demirtas supported protocols.

“WE DO NOT UNDERSTAND THE REACTION OF BAKU”

Justice and Development Party Deputy Chairman of External Relations Suat Kinikoglu reacted to the tension in the relations between Turkey and Azerbaijan. Kinikoglu said that theydo not understandthe reaction of Baku. He defined the attitude of Baku administration as “unnecessary.”

Politician reminded that the ban of Azerbaijani flag in the Bursa Ataturkstadium was the decision of FIFA and said, “We did not want to do such thing. Hopefully Azerbaijani officials will leave this unnecessary attitude. They should be aware that Turkey notes such reactions. Lowering Turkish flags in Turkish martyrdom is not anything that contributes the relations between Turkey and Armenia. It showes that they do not understand our stance.”
