Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu visited Turkish martyrdom in Baku where Azerbaijani administration lowered Turkish flags as a reaction to the protocols that are signed between Turkey and Armenia.
Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu visited Turkish martyrdom in Baku with Azerbaijani Minister Elmar Memmedyarov and Fahri Hiyabani. Replying the questions of Azerbaijani press, Davutoglu once again repeated that there is no probability for Turkey-Armenia borders to be opened unless Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is resolved.
Davutoglu said, “Azerbaijani lands, our lands is under occupation since more than 17 years. Turkish governments struggled for ending the occupation in Karabakh. We also keep struggling in the same direction. But current status quo should be changed. Nobody in Azerbaijan should be skeptic about our attitude. We think that the process with Armenia will accelerate the process of Karabakh resolution.”
Davutoglu stated that Azerbaijani flag and Turkish flag are the same for himself. Davutoglu informed media on his contacts with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Memmedyarov, and stated that they had sincere talks.
Davutoglu said, “We discussed the flag issue too. There should not be anxiety between brothers. 72 million Turkish citizen are ready to die for Azerbaijan.”
