Despite the tension between two countries, Azerbaijani Parliamentarians state that they trust Turkey.

Human Rights Committee chairwoman Rabiyyet Aslanova said, “Turkey was always by the side of Azerbaijan and will always be there.”

Azerbaijani and Armenian parliamentarians met in Moscow to discuss Nagorno-Karabakh conflict resolution process. Human Rights Committee chairwoman Rabiyye Aslanova replied the questions of press in Moscow.

Aslanova said, “We are one nation and our roots belong to same history. Turkish government told us that they will do all they can for resolution of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. We believe that they considered Karabakh problem as they were signing protocols with Armenia. We hope that establishment of diplomatic relations with Armenia and opening of state borders will not happen before resolution of Nagorno-Karabakh problem.”

Aslanova said that lowering Turkish flags in Turkish martyrdom in Baku should never be evaluated as striking an attitude against Turkey.
