
U. S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Kaidanow met with Armenian ultranationalist Dashnaktstutyun Party officials within the frames of her visit to Yerevan. U.S. official discussed Turkey-Armenia protocols with Dashnak Party officials.
U. S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Tina Kaidanow held a meeting with Dashnak Party officials in Yerevan. Kaidanow and ARF Dashnaktsutyun Party leadership discussed the process of normalization of relations between Turkey and Armenia, and protocols that two countries signed to establish diplomatic relations.
U.S. ambassador to Yerevan Marie Yovanovich was also present in the meeting while Secretary General of Dashnak Party Giro Manoyan and Levon Mrktchyan represented ultranationalist party. ARF Dashnaktsutyunharshly opposes policies of Armenian President Serzh Sarksyan towards normalizing the relations of Armenia with Turkey.
According to Armenian press, Kaidanow and Dashnak Party leadership discussed protocols that were signed on October 10 by Foreign Ministers of Turkey and Armenia, process of resolution of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Armenian economy and democratic reforms.
