The Turkish-Armenian protocols on normalization of the Ankara -Yerevan relations signed on Oct.10 stipulates establishment of joint intergovernmental commission to investigate the facts of the Armenian “genocide.” Earlier, the Armenian government has refused Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s offers to establish a joint commission, stating that they have no doubt in the interpretation of this event.
It is strange that Armenians are trying to raise the genocide issue at Senate few days after Turkish-Armenians protocols signing, Turkish Diaspora representative Kayahan Mete told.
The Turkish government declares that the protocols on normalization of the Ankara -Yerevan relations aimed at solving conflicts in the Caucasus, especially, the Nagorno-Karabakh.
Kayahan hopes that Congress will reject the resolution on the Armenian “genocide.”
Last week, the Turkish-American faction in Congress increased in number and has reached a hundred.
