The tension on Ankara-Baku axis which emerged because of the protocols that were signed between Turkey and Armenia, is eased by the visit of Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu to Baku. Making a visit to Turkish martyrdom in Baku, where Azerbaijani administration lowered Turkish flags as a reaction to Turkey’s policy against Armenia, Ahmet Davutoglu placed carnation to the graves of martyrs. The dialogue between Turkish and Azerbaijani Foreign Ministers in Turkish martyrdom in Baku reflected to the press. It is reported that foreign ministers of Turkey and Azerbaijan had the dialogue below;

Mammadyarov: This one is from Bursa

Davutoglu: Elmar look, this one had come from Bosnia to save Azerbaijan. Today Bosnia is so far from our borders.

Mammadyarov: This one is also from Bursa. There are martryrs even from Aleppo.

Davutoglu: There are martyrs from all provinces of Anatolia.

After that Foreign Minister Davutoglu asked Turkish ambassador to Baku whether there are any martyrs from Konya burried in this martyrdom. Ambassador told Davutoglu that there are 12 martyrs from Konya including a soldier with surname “Davutoglu.” Thereupon Davutoglu said, “Maybe he is my ancestor.”

As Foreign Ministers Davutoglu and Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov were leaving the martyrdom, Davutoglu turned to Memmedyarov and said, “May Allah always keep this flag in the skies, may it always wave. Turkey is ready to do anything for that.”
