Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu stated that Turkish flag will be returned on its previous location in the Turkish martyrdom in Baku. Holding a press conference in Tehran, Davutoglu said that the flag crisis between Turkey and Azerbaijan is has ended. He said that Azerbaijan has started preparations for bringing Turkish flags back to their previous position.
Last night a group of Azerbaijani workers started preparations for planting flags in the Turkish martyrdom in Baku. Turkish flags are expected to be on their previous locations by today.
Azerbaijani administration had lowered Turkish flags in Turkish martyrdom following the insult against Azerbaijani flag during Turkey-Armenia game in Bursa. The tension between Turkey and Azerbaijan started with the initiation of process of normalization of relations between Turkey and Armenia. Turkish President, Prime Minister and Foreign Minister several times assured Azerbaijan that Turkey will not open its borders with Armenia unless occupation in Azerbaijani lands ends.
