Following the visits of Turkish officials to Azerbaijan, the tension between two countries is eased and Azerbaijani officials softened the language they use against Turkey. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said that there is not example of Turkey-Azerbaijan relations in the world pointing the cooperation between two countries in politics, economics and culture.

Aliyev underscored that any initiative cannot be realized without the cooperation of Turkey and Azerbaijan and said that conditions in the region urge Turkey and Azerbaijan for further cooperation. “We can discard tensions with this method,” said he.

THE ACTUAL REASON OF AZERBAIJAN’S REACTION

Commenting on the relations between Turkey and Armenia, Azerbaijani President said that the actual reason that concerns Azerbaijan is opening of Turkey-Armenia border which wouldsave Armenia from tough economical recession and which would decrease the will of Armeniatowards resolution of Nagorno-Karabakh problem.

On the other hand, External Relations Committee Chairman of Turkish Parliament Murat Mercan said that opening of borders is not possible unless Armenia ends the occupation.
