It is reported that President Abdullah Gul ordered his executive assistant Karslioglu that Azerbaijani flags will be let in the stadium even if FIFA would penalize Turkey over that.
Karslioglu sent a text message to Turkey’s ambassador to Baku Hulusi Kilic after he entered stadium with an Azerbaijani flag in his briefcase.
Flag crisis between Turkey and Azerbaijan is solved with the visit of Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu to Baku and with the efforts of Turkey’s ambassador to Azerbaijan Hulusi Kilic.
Hulusi Kilic said, “The flag crisis emerged because of the actions of evil-minded people in Bursa during Turkey-Armenia game. But the text message that President Gul’s executive assistant Karslioglu sent to me is stillsaved inmy phone. We communicated with Mr. Karslioglu 2 hours before the match. I wrote to him, “Azerbaijani and Russian national teams play here. People in the stadium unfurled Turkish flags.”
And Mr. Karslioglu wrote to me, “President (Abdullah Gul) gave a special order. Azerbaijani flags will enter to the stadium even if Turkey will be penalized. I have an Azerbaijani flag with me in my briefcase.”
