Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian said that laying down resolution of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict as a precondition for normalization of relations between Turkey and Armenia would create additional obstacles. He said that Armenia will continue efforts toward recognition of so called Armenian genocide.

Giving an interview to Japanese Yomiuri newspaper, Edward Nalbandian said that resolution of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict should not be a precondition for the process of rapprochement between Turkey and Armenia. “This would create additional obstacles,” said he.

Calling for attention to the efforts of OSCE Minsk Group towards resolution of the conflict, Nalbandian said, “If Turkey sets out the resolution of the problem as a precondition, that would harm both process of resolution of Karabakh conflict and process of normalization of Turkey-Armenia relations.”

Armenian Foreign Minister stated that Ankara and Yerevan agreed to establish relations without preconditions. He said that they will continue efforts toward international recognition of so called Armenian genocide whatever happens.

On the other hand, Panarmenian.net reported that Armenian President Serzh Sarksyan has not sent Turkey-Armenia protocols to the Constitutional Court.
