The Armenian authorities will never agree to Turkey becoming a co-chair of the OSCE’s Minsk Group mediating a settlement to the Karabakh conflict, the secretary of Armenia’s ruling Republican Party, Eduard Sharmazanov, has said.

“This is our position and we will never change it. As was already stated in Meindorf and Helsinki, the Karabakh conflict can be settled exclusively within the format of the OSCE's Minsk Group,” he said.

As for “Armenia's agreement to return lands,“Sharmazanov noted that the return of any land is out of the question. “Now talks are only about the status of the Nagorno-Karabakh republic,” he said.
