ARMENIAN DIASPORA HOLDS FUNDRAISER FOR SHUSHA

The Armenian diaspora in Boston began a telethon on Thursday to raise funds for the restoration of Shusha, a city in Nagorno-Karabakh occupied by Armenian forces.

A delegation from the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh republic, led by prime minister Ara Arutyunyan, attended the opening of the telethon.

He met representatives of the Armenian community of Boston during his visit on Thursday and members of the Vardanants Aspetner organization. The meetings discussed the socioeconomic state of Karabakh.
