Speaking on the ’Armenia opening’, President Gul said that Turkey will shatter the last wall of cold war.
Giving an interview to Italian La Stampa newspaper, President Abdullah Gul said that Kurdish and Armenian issues are not taboos for Turkish politics anymore. He said that these developments increase Turkey’s level of democracy.
Stressing that the process of normalization of relations with Armenia is developed following the elections of Armenian President Serzh Sarksyan through messages of good will from both sides, President Gul said that majority of Turkish people are towards the solution of problems with Armenia.
President Gul said, “We are doing the best we can. We expect opposite party to have the same good will.”
