European Parliament will evaluate the situation of Western Balkan countries, Iceland and Turkey today. European Parliament stressed that Turkey should make the changes in constitutional law and should achieve progress in the cooperation of state and people in short term. PACE members also expressed their disconfidence on negligible development in the rights of religious minorities and right of freedom of speech.
Welcoming the steps towards realization of Nabucco project, PACE underscored the importance of the steps towards normalization of the relations between Turkey and Armenia. European Parliament called Turkish and Armenian Parliaments to ratify the protocols that Turkey and Armenia signed in the mediation of Switzerland in Zurich on October 10.
