Turkish newspaper Hurriyet published the details of the progress on Nagorno-Karabakh problem that Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian President Serzh Sarksyan achieved in Munchen meeting.

According to the report of Hurriyet, Azerbaijani and Armenian leaders could not come to a certain agreement. On the other hand, they struggled to make progress within the frames of Madrid principles and Helsinki Human Rights Declaration which were proposed by OSCE Minsk Group towards resolution of the problem. These are the points that two leaders achieved progress on;

— Leaders exchanged ideas on a fundamental agreement that will form a base for the final agreement in Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

— Leaders agreed on withdrawal of Armenian forces from five of seven occupied regions of Azerbaijan. On the other handthey could not come to an agreement on the names of five regions that will be returned to Azerbaijan.

— Armenian administration stressed that Armenia is against bringing the issue of withdrawal of Armenian military forces from Lachin corridor which connects the lands of Armenia to Nagorno-Karabakh on the agenda.

— Leaders agreed in principle that the final status of Nagorno-Karabakh should be determined through a referendum.

Azerbaijani Spokesman for Ministry of Foreign Affairs Elhan Polukhov had announced that Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian President Serzh Sarksyan had achieved progress on process of resettlement of Nagorno-Karabakh problem in their meeting in Munchen.
