A library belonging to Henry Morgenthau, a U.S. ambassador to Ottoman Empire, is donated to the so called Armenian genocide museum in Washington which Armenian diaspora is struggling to build.
Morgenthau was the ambassador of United States of America to Istanbul during the tragical events in 1915. The books of ambassador Morgenthau, who died in 1946, were given away by his family. Leading to the committee that struggles for establishment of a so called Armenian genocide museum at a short distance to U.S. White House, Van Krikorian said that they appreciate donation of invaluable books to themselves.
Armenian diaspora considers Morgenthau as an important charachter in the history which they use for providing basis to their thesis on 1915 events. So called Armenian genocide museum could not be built because of “internal conflicts.”
