
Head of Armenia’s Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Parliamentary Assembly Delegation Aram Safaryan said that Kazakhstan will take the initiative on resettlement of Nagorno-Karabakh problem during its term presidency in OSCE. Armenian parliamentarian said that he is hopeful about Kazakhstan’s role in resettlement process.
According to the reports of Kazakh press, speaking ina seminar for introducing term presidency of Kazakhstan in OSCE held in the embassy of Armenia in Astana, Safaryan said, “It is important for Europe and Armenia that Kazakhstan will take over the presidency of OSCE on January 1, 2010.” Armenian parliamentarian said that he is hopeful that Kazakhstan will reshape the structure of OSCE and will play an active role in the solution of the Nagorno-Karabakh problem.
“Laicist Kazakhstan is being managed so good although it’s population consists of Christian and Muslim citizens from different ethnicities. That experience should be exemplary,” Armenian MP said. Underscoring that Armenia welcomes efforts of OSCE Minsk Group, Safaryan said that he believes that Nagorno-Karabakh conflict can be solved only through peaceful methods.
