Armenian President Serzh Sarksyan claimed that Turkey will recognize Armenian allegations on 1915 events.

Armenian President Serzh Sarksyan stated that the process of normalization of relations between Turkey and Armenia will bring peace and Turkey will recognize so called Armenian genocide in the end of this process.

Making a speech in the Parliament of Armenia, Sarksyan said, “The process of normalization that is initialized with Turkey is not only towards the interests of two countries. This process will also serve for establishment of security and peace in whole Caucasus.”

Stressing that ratification of Turkey-Armenia protocols will not mean suspension of so called Armenian genocide, Sarksyan said, “On the contrary, i think Turkey will eventually recognize ’genocide’ in the end of this brave process.”

’WE MAY RECOGNIZE THE INDEPENDENCE OF KARABAKH"

Following the warning of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev about using force if negotiations towards resolution of Nagorno-Karabakh problem does not progress, Armenian Presidency stated that in such case Armenia will recognize independence of Nagorno-Karabakh.

Armenian President Serzh Sarksyan’s spokesman Samvel Farmanyan stated in a written statement that Armenia did not recognize independence of Nagorno-Karabakh only not to affect peace process negatively and they will not have any option other than recognizing Karabakh’s independence if Azerbaijan initiates military operation. < Prev   Next >
