Diplomat Karaer said, “History does not prove that Turks tried to wipe out an ethnic group. They were just struggling to prevent a minority to break away a part of the country.”

Retired U.S. Diplomat Arma Jane Karaer, said that Armenians try hard to pass a so called Armenian genocide resolution from the U.S. Congress for creating basis to their claims of land on Turkey. “On the other hand, they could not find any evidence that proves their allegations,” she said.

According to the report of Armenian Asbarez newspaper, former U.S. Diplomat told Charles Stuart Kennedy, “We established contact with the members of Congress which were unsuccessful to pass the (so called Armenian genocide) resolution. I prepared notes for them on the reasons for rejecting such a resolution to be adopted by the Congress. Turks, who were telling, ‘Consider the strategical importance of Turkey for United States and prevent adoption of the resolution,’ had also changed strategy and agreed with lobbying organizations and gained the support of Jewish lobbies.”

Karaer said, “According to our thesis, tragic events took place in those years but incidents cannot be called as genocide. History does not prove that Turks tried to wipe out an ethnic group. They were just struggling to prevent a minority to break away a part of the country. So many people died in the Eastern provinces. On the other hand, Armenians living in Western provinces who did not take part in rebellion were stillliving in peace.”

“THEY WILL CLAIM TURKEY’S LAND”

“Advisor to Deputy Chairman called me and my boss. They asked me why (so called Armenian genocide) resolution is very important. I told him that Armenians will claim Turkey’s lands in the next level. But Turks would never accept such thing. On the other hand, we need Turks in NATO and other issues.”

TURKISH FAMILIES SAVED ARMENIAN CHILDREN

Karaer said, “While I was working in Turkey desk, I was reading Armenian journals’ interviews with Armenian people who survived of 1915 events. At those times they were all kids. How could they survive? Nearly all of those children were saved by Turkish families” < Prev   Next >
