"Along with the Azerbaijani parliament, political parties, nongovernmental organizations, the Azerbaijanis living in the US should also send protest letters to the Congress. They should also appeal to president Obama and call not to adopt the Congress’ document on allocating direct aid to “Nagorno Karabakh Republic”, Azerbaijani parliamentarian Ganira Pashayeva told APA while commenting on the allocation of the aid to the so-called Nagorno Karabakh Republic by the U.S. Congress.

The parliamentarian addressed the Azerbaijanis living abroad, particularly in the US.

“It should be noted that the decision on aid has negative influence on the US — Azerbaijan relations, and is a big hit for the view that the US, as Minsk Group co-chair, will play a fair role in the settlement of the conflict. I call on Azerbaijani Diaspora and Turkish Diaspora organizations in the US to take this step. We should strengthen our efforts to prevent this injustice,” she said.

Ganira Pashayeva also called on the Azerbaijani Jews living in the US and their organizations to start active work to prevent the unfair decision passed in the U.S. Congress.

According to the parliamentarian, the Azerbaijanis living all over the world should express their protest against this unfair decision and call on President Obama not to confirm the decision.
