A transportation company in Armenia, Abaven, gets prepared for the opening of borders between Turkey and Armenia.
According to the report of Tert.am, owner of the transportation company Arsen Gazaryan plans to announce price list for transportation between Turkey and Armenia.
Gazaryan said, “We can announce the tarrifs in 90 percent in the case of opening of Turkey-Armenia border by January. Our company’s Istanbul office is already in effect since years. Now we are studying on tarrifs with our Turkish counterparts. Afterwards, we will inform exportation and importation companies on our prices. And therefore, they will be able to make their interests clear after opening of borders.”
Stating that Samsun and Trabzon harbours are only appropriate for highway transportation, Gazaryan said that Batu and Poti harbours of Georgia is connected to Armenia by railways.
Armenian Businessman said that they will be able to establish commercial relations with the rest of the World by using Turkey’s Mersin harbour. “Mersin harbour is promising for making trade with Western Europe, United States, China and India,” said he.
