"ARMENIA OPENING" IN EMPTY SALOON

United States contributed the project of Turkish and Armenian movie makers on shooting a movie which leaves a message towards friendship and opening of Turkey-Armenia border. On the other hand, the project, which was prepared by spending thousands of dollars,couldn not be successful to attract audience. There were only ten people in the premiere of the movie. The “Armenia opening” is held in an empty saloon...

The premiere of the movie “Riverbanks of Aras” which was prepared in the sponsorship of Turkish-Armenian Business Development Council (TABDC)couldnot be successfulon attracting the audience. There were only Assistant Secretary of U.S. Embassy in Ankara Thomas Leory and Suat Kinikoglu from Justice and Development Party Other than the producers of the movie.

Making a speech in the night, Assistant Secretary to U.S. Embassy in Ankara Thomas Leory said that initiatives of non-governmental organizations is important in the process of normalization between Turkey and Armenia. And Politician from Justice and Development Party Suat Kinikoglu said that Turkish government wants to establish good relations with neighbouring countries. “Turks and Armenians want normalization,” said he. < Prev   Next >
