Political Scientist Professor Doctor Hikmet Ozdemir said that Turkish-Armenian problem has its own geometry and politicians who struggles to solve the dispute between two countries should learn these. “If the proposals that are made could not bring an acceptable peace for parties, it means that the geometry of the problem is not understood,” said he.
Political Scientist Professor Doctor Hikmet Ozdemir said, “The ones who wants to solve historical disputes should know the geometry of the problem very well. If the proposals towards solution of the problem do not bring a solution that is acceptable for both parties, it means the geometry of the problem is not well understood. One should not expect for rapid resolution of such problems. Analyse of the sources of the dispute is necessary. Another vital issue, is sincerity of the parties. When we consider the dispute between Turks and Armenians on 1915 events, we see that one of the parties urges its own opinion as the solution of the problem. And to succeed on this, it continues an organized, dirty war in the international area.”
A CALL FOR TURKISH GRAND NATIONAL ASSEMBLY
Stating that he wants to leave a message for the members of Turkish Grand National Assembly on Turkey-Armenia protocols, Professor Ozdemir said, "I want to remind our parliamentarians that, there is no difference between telling,"Armenians were exposed to a genocide, accept that," and telling “We want peace,” after killing Turkish soldiers. Voluntary Armenian troops fought against Turkish soldiers in 1915. They massacred civilians and even children in Muslim villages. They burned down the city Van."
“How can one solve Armenian problem without discussing the reasons that caused the decision of displacement?” asked Ozdemir. “We could be ready to face our own history only after discussion of these issues,” said he.
Calling Armenian officials to be attentive with the statements they make, Ozdemir said, “They are making disgraceful statements and they are telling that they will keep the attitude. They should be attentive with the language they use.”
