ACADEMICIANS PREPARE TO REPLY ARMENIAN ALLEGATIONS

It is reported that experts and academicians will prepare a work of 9 thousand pages on Turkish-Armenian relations and so called Armenian genocide allegaions.

In the leadership of Associate Professor Enis Sahin who works in the Desk of Armenian Issue in Turkish Historical Society and alecturer at Sakarya University History Department, a three volumes of book will be prepared on Turkey-Armenia relations and allegations of so called Armenian genocide.

190 Academician applied to the project that is planned to be finished until April, 2011.

Speaking to press, Associate professor Sahin stated that there is not a comprehensive source on Armenian issue other than books are written for symposiums. He expressed histarget as preparing a book that contains all the academic work on Armenian issue in one book.

Stressing that they also called Armenian academicians to take part in the project but there are not any Armenian academician among applicants yet, Sahin said, “15 Academician have applied from Russia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, France and United States. We believe the number of foreigner academicians will increase to 25 or 30.”

Stressing that 100th anniversary of so called Armenian genocide, the year 2015 is a critical date for Turkey, Sahin said, “They are pressing for adoption of Armenian allegations in foreign parliaments. They are continuing their studies quitely now. The issue has different dimensions. They state that 1,5 million Armenian lost their life during 1915 but the number of people who died between 1878 and 1916 in the hands of Armenian terrorists is about2 million.”
