Head of the Armenian State Environment Security Inspection Tigran Grigoryan and his assistant Arsen Petrosyan were arrested for bribery.

Petrosyan demanded 13 200 dollars from one of the enterprises not to show shortages identified during the inspection in his report. He shared money with his boss Grigoryan, APA reports quoting the Armenian newspapers.

A large amount of money was found near them during the detention. The two officials will face with charges of bribery.

Panorama.am reported about the involvement of deputy minister of environment Simon Papyan in the bribery scandal, but his name was not mentioned in police reports. The website’s reporter couldn’t meet Papyan in his office, but said he saw police officers in his receiving office. Then the website reported that the deputy minister gave testimony to police.
