Armenian Journalists’ Society awarded Turkish-Armenian citizen Rober Haddejiyan, editorial writer of Nor Marmara newspaper, who is known with the books he wrote. Haddejiyan became the first Armenian origin journalist outside of Armenia, who won the “golden pen” award that is being given since 1969.
It is reported that Rober Haddejiyan and chief editor of Azg, one of the best seller newspapers in Armenia, Hagop Avedikyan shared the award that is being given since 1969. On the other hand, Haddejiyan became the first journalist to win the award that does not live in Armenia.
Rober Haddejiyan, a popular name among literature circles, accepted the award during a ceremony that is held in Yerevan on Tuesday. Making a speech during the ceremony, head of the jury Tavit Muradyan said, “Haddejiyan turned Marmara Newspaper into a very popular newspaper in Turkey, Armenia and Armenian diaspora.”
