The Khojaly tragedy has been included into the project of the Polynational War Memorial initiated in Sweden.
In the result of work held by the international campaign of Justice of Khojaly, the Khojaly tragedy was included into the virtual archive within the framework of the project of Polynational War Memorial in Sweden.
The said archive (http://war-memorial.net/Victims-of-the-Khojali-Massacre-1.224) contains a link to the website of the campaign (www.justiceforkhojaly.org) which fixes the list of civilians killed during the Khojaly massacre, while the tragedy is presented as one of the most terrible mass atrocities committed in the 20th century.
The virtual archive with photo illustrations also places a list of victims who died during wars, genocidal acts after the second world war. Since the second half of the 20th century the human rights organizations, researchers and experts are making lists of victims of atrocities. Informative seminars, exhibitions are held and different articles on this topic are issued in different countries within the framework of this project, reports news service for the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) youth forum.
There is a plan to build a memorial complex in Stockholm (Sweden) to unite universities, museums, libraries, archives, memorial parks and other relevant components. On its part, the campaign of Justice for Khojaly has prepared a package of proposals on the creation of department of victims of Khojaly in the said complex.
The resources of the campaign website were used while creating the archive and the Khojaly massacre was listed along with similar tragedies in Algeria, Darfur, Ruanda, Srebrennica, Nigeria and other countries.
The international campaign of Justice for Khojaly was initiated by Leyla Aliyeva, general coordinator on International Dialogue of the OIC Youth Forum for Dialogue and Cooperation on 8 May 2008. This campaign is aimed at informing the world community about the Khojaly tragedy and reaching the political and legal and moral evaluation of the tragedy in the world.
