Representative of Armenian community in Sivas, Minas Durmaz Guler left the messages of unity and brotherhood and stated that they Armenian community in Sivas lives in peace.
Stating that Armenian community lives in Sivas since 1061, Minas Dirmas Guler said, “We became close as two coats of paint. We are all Ottomans.”
Governor of Sivas, Ali Kolat and his spouse Ilksen Kolat visited Representative of Armenian community in Sivas, Minas Durmaz Guler. Authorities left messages of peace and unity in the visit. Celebrating the new year of Armenian community, Governor Kolat said that Armenian community is one of the colours of the cultural mosaic of Sivas. Stressing that there are people from different religions and races in Turkey, Kolat said that Armenian citizens are also a part of the country. “Our differences forms our wealth,” said he.
“The cultural richness that we havecreated through centuries is the work of all of us. The unity of different nations and religions shows itself in the peace and tranquility in our country. Every community is free to perform its own belief in our city,” said the governor. Kolat said, “Our Armenian citizens continue their lives in peace and unity in several cities like Malatya and Sivas. Hopefully this unity and environment of trust will not be damaged.”
Expressing his pleasure on the visit of governor of Sivas, representative of Armenian community in Sivas Minas Durmaz Guler informed guests on the Armenian community in the city. Stating that they are living in Sivas since 1061, Guler told his guests how Armenians immigrated to the region. Underscoring that they have been living in the region in peace since centuries, Guler said, “We are living here in peace and tranquility since centuries. And we are so happy to be together. Cultures, dishes, traditions are forged into each other. We became close as two coats of paint. We are all Ottomans.”
