
Armenian President Serzh Sarksyan will make an official visit to Moscow, a few days after the visit of Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan to Russia.
According to the announcement that is made by Armenian Presidency, the visit will be held on January 18. Sarksyan’s spokesman Samvel Fermanyan stated that determination of the date for a meeting between Azerbaijani and Armenian leaders on resolution of Nagorno-Karabakh problem within the mediation of Russia will be on the agenda of Armenian President during his Moscow visit.
The announcement about visit of Armenian President to Moscow is made a few hours after Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan returned to Turkey. Other than that, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov was in Yerevan while Erdogan was in Moscow. Responding to the questions about the timing of the visit, Lavrov said that his visit is not related with Erdogan’s visit to Moscow and it is just a coincidence.
