Director of Washington Office of New York based Jewish lobbying organization Anti-Defamation League (ADL), Jess Horders stated that bringing a so called Armenian genocide resolution to the U.S. House of Representatives or U.S. Senate would not be beneficial.
Speaking about the issue, Director of Washington Office of ADL, Jess Horders supported establishment of a joint committee of historians between Turkey and Armenia to make researches on 1915 events. He also stated that introducing a so called Armenian genocide resolution to the U.S. House of Representatives or U.S. Senate would not be beneficial.
According to PanArmenian.net, Horders stated that they still consider 1915 events as a “genocide” but they do not think introducing a so called genocide resolution to the Senate might be beneficial. He said that it will be better if the issue could be handled by the committee of historians that is mentioned in Turkey-Armenia protocols.
