"Armenia ready for Turkey's refusal to ratify Protocols"

E-mail Print PDF
“Turkish Parliament will ratify Protocols.”

Armenian authorities’ harsh statements on current rapprochement process were caused by Turkey’s policy of Protocols’ ratification, RPA parliamentary group leader Galust Sahakyan said.

According to Sahakyan, Turkish Parliament will ratify Protocols, otherwise it will have to face international —community related problems. “Still, we’re ready for Turkey’s refusal to ratify Protocols,” RPA parliamentary group leader stated.

The Protocols aimed at normalization of bilateral ties and opening of the border between Armenia and Turkey were signed in Zurich by Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian and his Turkish counterpart Ahmet Davutoglu on October 10, 2009, after a series of diplomatic talks held through Swiss mediation.
