“Arab countries can mediate in the solution to Karabakh conflict”

“Arab countries can mediate in the solution to Nagorno Karabakh conflict”, Professor of Ain Shams University of Egypt Safsafi Ahmad Al-Mursi told APA in Baku. He said he was researching the Nagorno Karabakh conflict for long years and published articles about this problem in the Ain Shams University’s publication “Middle East problems and future researches”. The articles were entitled “Karabakh in the past and present periods” and “Karabakh and its fate”. “If the Karabakh problem is not resolved, it will cause great problems in future, which will effect not only on Azerbaijan and Armenia, but other regions as well”, said the professor. He named his last publication about this issue “Mediatory role of Arabic countries in the solution of Karabakh problem” emphasizing good relations of Egypt, Syria and Lebanon with Azerbaijan and Armenia and their opportunities to mediate in the solution of the problem. “If these countries actively join the solution process, the problem will be solved soon”.
