The rapprochement process with Armenia is in an impasse.
Sinirlioglu will hold these meetings within a few days. The aim of the Foreign Ministry is to establish contact with United States administration which successfully mediated between Turkey and Armenia during the signing ceremony of protocols in Zurich, Switzerland.

Foreign Ministry aims to have the assurance of United States and Switzerland that Turkey-Armenia process will not get stuck. According to diplomatic sources, Turkey will not insist for a written assurance.
On the other hand, Ankara wants United States and Switzerland to convince Armenia for the continuation of the rapprochement process.
