The MP of ruling Justice and Development party elected from Urfa- Emin Onen stated that early normalization of relations with Armenia is in all sides’ interests.
“Saying Armenian cause, we forget that they are our neighbors, whereas we always neglected the problem and put it aside. Signing of Armenia-Turkey Protocols is not in all countries’ interests, including Armenian Diaspora. However, we should overcome the issue,” he stated, Turkish Haberciniz website reports.
The MP also recalled that Turkey offered to create Caucasus Stability and Cooperation Platform after the Russia-Georgia confrontation in August 2008. The initiative was highly assessed by Georgia, Armenia and Russia.
