Expert: Turkey, Armenia disappoint each other

E-mail Print PDF
“The process between Yerevan and Ankara has reached the deadlock.” Aybars Gorjulu, Turkish expert of the Sabanchi university and assistant supervisor of the programs on external policy of Turkish TESEV center, considers that the normalization of the Armenian-Turkish relations will accelerate in March-April of this year.

He said Turkey disappointed Armenia by binding the ratification of protocols on normalization of the Armenian-Turkish relations to the Karabakh issue and was itself disappointed with the decision of the Armenian Constitutional Court on the protocols.

Nevertheless, Aybars Gorjulu noted that he expects the acceleration of the process in the coming months, but he considers that the soonest ratification of protocols at the current stage is not possible.
