Co-chairman of Turkish-Armenian Business Development Council (TABDC) Kaan Soyak reminded that Turkey-Armenia trade volume has reached to $300 mln and said that reaching to this amount is a great success.
Commenting on the announcement of Turkish-Armenian trade volume by Armenian Chamber of Commerce, Kaan Soyak said that TABDC calculated the trade volume as 150 mln while World Bank estimated the trade volume as 200 mln USD.
Stressing that trade between two countries is made throught third countries like Georgia and Iran, Soyak said that it is not possible to make a certain calculation over the trade volume.
Soyak said that Turkish-Armenian trade is made by the Turkish businessmen in the Eastern provinces and it is a successsince two countries reached such an amount of trade despite the closed borders.
Commenting on Turkey-Armenia protocols toward normalization of relations, Soyak said, “There is a document waiting for which several organizations worked for months to create it. And delay in ratification of these documents strengthen the hands of the oppositionists.”
