Spokesman to Turkish Foreign Ministry Burak Ozugergin said that there is not any problem in Turkey’s Armenia opening.

Speaking to journalists about the recent developments in the process of normalization of relations between Turkey and Armenia, Ozugergin said that thereare efforts to advertise Turkey as the party which changed opinion about protocols. “No, Turkey did not change its opinion. Our position is constant,” said he.

Stating that Foreign Ministry Undersecretary Feridun Siniroglu will go to Switzerland and United States, Ozugergin said that undersecretary will express Turkey’s concerns over the issue to American and Swiss officials in detail.

Ozugergin said, “There is no problems in Turkey’s Armenia opening. The process is in trouble because of the decision of Armenian court.”

To a question about the process of resettlement of Nagorno-Karabakh problem, Ozugergin said that the issue is continuing since long time and lately there is acceleration in the process.

Pointing the continuation of the peace process, Ozugergin said, “Although it is modest, there is progress in the negotiations. It seems that there is light of hope for the resolution of the problem in coming days.”

Underscoring that Turkey monitors the process, Ozugergin said that concrete steps in the process depend on political will and courage of the parties of the conflict.
