American expert Henry Barkey wrote in his article in Los Angeles Times that Turkish-Armenian normalization process should be rescued because failure of the process would lead to destructive results.

Writing an article for Los Angeles Times, American professor Henry Barkey stressed that Turkey-Armenia normalization should be rescued as “letting protocols to fail would trigger a chain reaction of destructive results.” American expert Henry Barkey and senior expert on Caucasus Thomas de Waal wrote that signing protocols were received as the start of a historical peace and United States paid huge support for the process. Stressing that negotiations are already in need for relief, American experts wrote that Turkey-Armenia relations will be worse than they were in the begining of normalization process if two countriesfail implementing protocols. Experts called for attention to the resistance of Armenian diaspora to the normalization and said that World would not tolerate redrawal of Turkey’s borders.
